Our Mission

“When you lend money to My people, to the poor person who is with you, do not act toward him as a creditor; do not lay interest upon him.”

Exodus, 22:24

Inspired by this commandment, our great-grandfather, Moses E. Miller, established Cincinnati’s first Hebrew free loan organization more than 130 years ago.

Today, we proudly carry on the tradition.

Our mission is to provide interest-free loans to members of Cincinnati’s Jewish community who are in temporary financial need.
